I loved painting the gnarled, knotted trunk of the Judas tree.

Its wild branches desperately grasped in every direction, getting entangled here and there. Meandering in the perpetual stupor of sense gratification, seeking fulfillment and substance from the things of the World is a fruitless endeavor, for within the kaleidoscope of the ever-changing mirage of the imagination, one eventually experiences only futility and madness.
