I sat on the grass near Hafez's Tomb painting an ancient Cypress tree surrounded by velvety magenta flowers called Cock's Comb. At dusk I entered the Tea House garden to eat Ob Goush, a delicious peasant stew of lamb, beans and vegetables with Nan, giant soft flatbread made from rolled dough baked over fire in a stone oven.
